Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how MATEXAi (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our mobile app, web app, and related services (“Services”). By using the Services, you consent to this policy.
1) Information We Collect
Account Data — email and password (via Firebase Authentication). For Pro, limited billing identifiers from Google Play or Stripe are processed server-side.
Usage Data — session counts, remaining time, timestamps, app/version, coarse device data, and error events (no chat content in logs).
Content You Provide — messages and, if you choose, images (for Vision). Images are processed to answer your request and not retained beyond what is technically necessary.
Cookies / Local Storage — theme, memory toggle, local chat history, and UI preferences are stored on your device.
Payments / Ads — Stripe (web) or Google Play Billing (Android) for purchases; Google AdMob for ads on Free.
Third-party APIs — MATEXAi may call Google Gemini and DeepSeek through our backend to generate responses.
2) How We Use Information
- Provide and improve AI chat features, including Vision (Pro).
- Enforce fair use limits on Free accounts.
- Detect abuse, secure accounts, and maintain reliability.
- Process payments and manage Pro entitlements.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3) Legal Bases (where applicable)
- Contract — to provide the Services you request.
- Legitimate Interests — to protect the Service and improve quality.
- Consent — for optional features (e.g., cookies/ads in certain regions).
- Legal Obligation — for record-keeping and fraud prevention.
4) Sharing & Sub-processors
We do not sell personal data. We share only what’s necessary with trusted providers: Google (Firebase, Gemini, AdMob), Stripe, DeepSeek, and our cloud hosting. Each has their own privacy policies and security practices.
5) Retention
- Account data: retained while your account remains active.
- Usage/entitlement records: retained as long as needed for billing/compliance.
- Local chat history: stored on your device; you control deletion.
6) Security
We use transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls, rate limiting, and other safeguards. No API keys are shipped in the client apps.
7) Your Rights
- Access, correction, deletion (subject to verification).
- Opt out of ads by upgrading to Pro.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing where applicable.
8) Children
MATEXAi is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9) International Use
Your information may be processed in various countries where our providers operate. We take steps to protect your information consistent with this policy.
10) Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, notified in-app.
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of MATEXAi. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1) Accounts & Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old and provide accurate information.
- You are responsible for your credentials and activity on your account.
2) Plans & Fair Use
- Free: 5 sessions/day, 20 minutes per session; MATEXAi model only; ads may be shown.
- Pro: unlimited sessions; unlocks MATEXAiX (advanced features), memory, and export; no ads.
- We may apply reasonable technical limits to protect the Service.
3) Acceptable Use
- No illegal, harmful, harassing, or infringing content.
- No attempts to misuse, reverse engineer, or overload the Service.
- Respect third-party rights and applicable laws.
4) AI Output & Content
AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your judgment. You remain responsible for how you use outputs.
5) Payments & Subscriptions
- Android purchases use Google Play Billing; web purchases may use Stripe.
- Renewals, cancellations, proration, and refunds follow the policies of the payment platform and our posted terms at purchase time.
- Entitlements are tied to your account and verified by our backend.
6) Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, fraud, non-payment, or risks to the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time.
7) Availability & Changes
We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change over time; material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
8) Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; our total liability is limited to amounts you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
9) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Where local law requires, consumer rights are preserved.
